             abstract = "Este trabalho prop{\~o}e-se a estabelecer o grau de 
                         relacionamento entre os v{\'a}rios par{\^a}metros de qualidade 
                         da Ba{\'{\i}}a de Guanabara e os dados do imageador 
                         multiespectral do sat{\'e}lite LANDSAT. A abordagem escolhida foi 
                         a emp{\'{\i}}rica, devendo-se selecionar, dos dados 
                         dispon{\'{\i}}veis os par{\^a}metros de teor de clorofila, a 
                         transpar{\^e}ncia da {\'a}gua atrav{\'e}s do disco Secchi, a 
                         salinidade e o teor de am{\^o}nia. De todos os sobrevoos 
                         existentes, puderam ser utilizados somente dois, nos quais 
                         existiam dados de verdade terrestre aproximadamente 
                         simult{\^a}neos. Ao mesmo tempo, compararam-se v{\'a}rios 
                         processamentos digitais dos dados de v{\'{\i}}deo que pudessem 
                         melhorar o ajuste entre os dois conjuntos de dados. Empregaram-se 
                         an{\'a}lises de regress{\~a}o linear e n{\~a}o-linear, 
                         comparando-se os dados originais com os processados atrav{\'e}s 
                         do c{\'a}lculo do coeficiente de correla{\c{c}}{\~a}o e do erro 
                         m{\'e}dio das estimativas. Os resultados mostraram que dados bem 
                         mais ajustados podem ser obtidos atrav{\'e}s de certos programas 
                         de corre{\c{c}}{\~a}o radiom{\'e}trica com embasamento 
                         f{\'{\i}}sico, das raz{\~o}es de contraste, e da 
                         normaliza{\c{c}}{\~a}o. Tamb{\'e}m foram encontrados outros 
                         resultados de interesse secund{\'a}rio, como a 
                         detec{\c{c}}{\~a}o de certos alvos na {\'a}gua. ABSTRACT: In 
                         this paper we try to establish the grade of relationship existing 
                         among various Guanabara Bay water quality parameters and LANDSAT 
                         MSS video data. We have chosen an empirical: basis approach, but 
                         we had to select, from the available data, some parameters as 
                         follows: chlorophyll, water transparency using Secchi disk, 
                         salinity and dissolved ammonia. Only two overflights could be 
                         used, due to the fact that in the other ones there were no 
                         simultaneous ground truth data. At the same time, digital video 
                         data processings were compared in order to improve a better 
                         adjustment: between both data sets. Linear and nonlinear 
                         regression analyses were utilized, sets comparing original data 
                         with processed ones by using the correlation coefficient and the 
                         estimation mean error. The results showed that it is possible to 
                         obtain better adjusted data by means of some radiometric 
                         correction programs with a phsycal basis, contrast ratio, and 
                         normalization.Some other interesting results have been found, such 
                         as the detection of certain targets in water. comparing original 
                         data with processed ones by using the correlation coefficient and 
                         the estimation mean error. The results showed that it is possible 
                         to obtain better adjusted data by means of some radiometric 
                         correction programs with a physical basis, contrast ratio, and 
                         normalization. Some other interesting results have been found,
